What's Next for Nano?


Closing Date Extended :  11th of April !

In conjunction with the Nano in my Life TY Modules CRANN have launched a new poster competition - What's next for nano? Entrants are asked to design a poster outlining future ideas or innovations for nanotechnology, based on what they have learnt during the modules.

Students can work alone or as part of a team (max. 4 people) and submit a poster about a new idea or innovation for nanotechnology.

Posters must be A1 in size and can contain text and imagery. They should include a clear title and provide a simple message about the idea. For more information on poster layout and design, see below.

Prizes include an iPad, iPod nanos, iTunes vouchers and trips to CRANN's nanoscience research centre. Closing date has been extended to the 11th of April 2012. The winning poster will be displayed at the 50th Annual ISTA Conference in April 2012.

Further information on poster design:

Participants are requested to submit a poster about a new idea or innovation for nanotechnology, demonstrating an understanding of how it is currently used and where it can potentially be applied. Posters should be prepared in A1 print size. Please note that if images are being used please source the highest quality images possible as winning posters may be printed on a large scale. For information on how to set a PowerPoint slide to A1 please read the following: Open MS PowerPoint and go to File and then Page Setup. Set paper size to Custom, 59.4 cm width and 84.1 cm height, also set the paper orientation to Portrait. Submissions will only be accepted electronically.
